A Lifetime of Harbors and Hounds

I was born into a Navy family - a childhood defined by harbors from the Kennebec River in Maine to Jacksonville, Florida, and Carmel, California. My constants were water and dogs, starting with our basset hounds, Roger and Hogan.

Years later, I found myself still following that pull. Annapolis on the Chesapeake, Arlington on the Potomac. Now, the lakes of Michigan and Northern Indiana - with incredible dogs throughout it all.

The idea came during a gathering with friends. We raised our glasses to toast, and there were our dogs - including Journey, our Chief Tasting Hound - right beside us. But they had nothing special to drink. They deserved their own toast. The market had novelty drinks or plain water - nothing that combined premium ingredients and real nutrition in an elegant package for daily celebration.

Hound & Harbor is crafted in Kalamazoo, Michigan, a city known for its craft beverage heritage. Close to Lake Michigan's shores - the perfect place to create what dogs like Journey deserve.
